The first “hard” vinyl release by the band was a 7” only single and what a record this is! From the opening drum roll and strains of
a harmonica, “She’s a Nurse (But She’s Alright)” has the word CLASSIC written all over it! Kevin’s guitar licks marry perfectly with floppy fringed Derek’s vocal
‘Pardon me for being myself, always by myself on the shelf”. Who couldn’t love this track! Its been featured on the “Drum & Strum” cassette back in 1988 and more
recently on the “Scared to Get Happy” CD Boxset.
B Side “So Wired” shows the bands melancholic side with a slow brooding tune showing another fantastic
vocal delivery by Derek to Kevin’s jangly country style guitar picking. If you don’t own a copy, seek one out!
